Introductory Lesson 9: An Adventure

An Adventure

Amreen was walking in the jungle.
At last she came to a house.
It was empty.
She opened the door and went in.
She saw three chairs in the room.
She sat down on the smallest chair.
It was the perfect size for her.
Soon she fell asleep.
When she woke up, she found three people were standing over her.
There was a man, a woman, and a child. They looked kind.
The father spoke. He asked Amreen if she would like to stay for dinner.
“I would love to,” Amreen said, “Thank you for inviting me.”
They all ate together. They had rotis, daal, and cauliflower curry.
The mother said, “We will take you back home now.”
The father, mother, and child walked Amreen home.
Amreen was happy. She had made new friends.
