Abha and Her Grandparents

Abha is visiting her grandparents today. She loves her grandparents.

At this moment, she is sitting next to her grandfather, Nanaji, on the charpai. She is listening to a story.
Nanaji is telling her a story about a thief he once caught. Abha is listening to the story very carefully and
enjoying it very much. She has heard it many times before, but that does not matter to her.

Nani is Abha’s grandmother. At this moment, Nani is standing in the balcony. She is talking to her friend,
who is her neighbour. Nani suddenly remembers that it is getting late and Nanaji and Abha will be hungry.
Nani hurries to the kitchen to cook lunch.

When Abha runs into the kitchen a little while later, Nani is standing by the stove. She is stirring a big pot
of kheer. Today is Abha’s birthday and Nani is making kheer as a special treat.

A) The present continuous tense is a form of the verb that shows that the action is continuing in the present.

C) Farm Animals

Farm animals are animals kept or raised on farms. The common farm animals are goats, sheep, cows,
horses, pigs, chickens, and ducks. They eat corn, hay, and other grains grown on the farm. They also
eat insects. They also eat kitchen scraps. Farm animals provide milk, meat, and eggs for us. They also
provide wool to keep us warm. Their waste is used to fertilize the soil.
